Responsibilities
Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
Safeguard any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Qualifications
ARRT(R)(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
BLS certification.
At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
