As a Physician Assistant with OrthoArizona, you will get to:

Responsibilities

Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the Physician.

Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.

Review patient medical records.

Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.

Perform complete physical exam and record findings.

Establish presumptive diagnosis.

Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures.

Administer injections and medications.

Advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.

Recommend community resources to help patient and family needs.

Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment procedures.

Assist physicians in recording patient progress.

Issue diagnostic orders.

Triage patient phone calls.

Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.

Provide on call services on assigned basis.

Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.

All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of computer programs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Complete and maintain HCP training.

Understand/Perform training on practice management software and continue to expand knowledge as updates occur.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Maintain Arizona State License.

Maintain CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of Physician Assistant experience in a busy orthopedic practice.
