Position Details: This position is with one of our Spine surgeons located in the West Valley. The role involves split time between OR and Clinic. No ER call. Open to new grads. You will work towards independent clinics, including Pre-Op visits, Post-Op visits, and Diagnostic Reviews.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a patient treatment schedule aligned with the Physician’s needs.
Obtain complete medical histories and physical data from patients.
Review patient medical records.
Interpret data to determine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Perform physical exams and record findings.
Establish presumptive diagnoses.
Order labs and diagnostic procedures.
Administer injections and medications.
Advise patients on health and illness prevention.
Recommend community resources to assist patients and families.
Instruct patients and families on medication and treatment procedures.
Assist physicians in recording patient progress.
Issue diagnostic orders.
Triage patient phone calls.
Provide monitoring and continuity of care.
Provide on-call services as assigned.
Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of computer programs.
Excellent communication skills.
Complete and maintain HCP training.
Understand and train on practice management software; expand knowledge as updates occur.
Follow all SOPs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Maintain an Arizona State License.
Maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of PA experience in a busy orthopedic practice.
