– The RN provides nursing services focusing on care for participants in clinical research studies, in ambulatory settings, ensuring protocol integrity and patient safety, and data collection. Job Responsibilities
– Care requirements determined by study scope; duties include direct patient care, phlebotomy and IV insertion, administration of investigational medications, monitoring, ECGs, specimen collection, data collection, patient education, documentation, and contributing to CTRC quality programs and training of non-licensed personnel. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
– License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
– Demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing care, relevant nursing experience, ability to work with diverse groups, teamwork, attention to detail, flexibility, strong communication, current BLS certification, valid NC Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
– Experience with human subjects in clinical research, pediatric nursing experience, biomedical/medical-surgical background, direct patient care in UNC Health Hospitals/Clincs, Epic EMR proficiency, experience with biotherapy/investigational medications, computer skills, IV access/phlebotomy proficiency. Special Physical/Mental Requirements
– Visual concentration, ability to sit at a computer, ability to lift 30 lbs, travel within hospital/campus for research on-location tasks. Administrative
