Position: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: Surgery Orthopedic Start Date: 12-08-25 Length: 13 weeks Schedule and Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled + On Call required Shift Schedule: 5 days, 8-hour shifts, 08:00–17:00 About the Facility
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions. Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly. Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with NP specialty. Active and unencumbered APRN license in California. National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty (e.g., AANP). Typically at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in the specialty. Skills
Strong clinical knowledge, assessment, and critical thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with a healthcare team. Time management and ability to manage a patient workload. Additional Notes
