Surgical Technologist – Operating Room – Full Time Evening Location:
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Queens, 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY Shift:
Full time, evening shift, 11:00am-9:00pm Responsibilities
Provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of ambulatory surgical procedures as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. Assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. Qualifications
Required Criteria
Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or, if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire. Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as OR Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting. High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care. Additional Information
