Benefits: Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development $1,000 SIGNING BONUS Position Summary The Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate according to program guidelines and IICRC standards. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and possess knowledge of the commercial and insurance restoration industry. A basic construction background, including understanding building materials, flooring, and other materials affected by wind, water, fire, smoke, and property damage, will be advantageous. Xactimate experience is an essential requirement. Candidates without experience in this software will not be considered. Knowledge of the software must be demonstrated during the screening process. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect and scope jobs onsite, collaborating with Project Manager/ Crew Chief/ Lead Tech on job scope Document loss with clear photos and upload into the operating system/software Write reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating tools Use the notes feature in software to communicate key information Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage estimates based on client and customer feedback Coordinate with project manager/lead tech to ensure all documentation is complete Record drying progress using mobile software Determine labor and equipment costs Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email, acting as a liaison Manage estimate documents and assess project risks Review quotes and estimates with the construction team Address estimate exceptions promptly Physical Demands and Working Conditions Employees must meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 70 pounds, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, and crouching for extended periods. The ability to communicate ideas effectively and use respirators when necessary is required. Work conditions may vary between indoor and outdoor environments, with or without climate control.
