The Estimator role is crucial for the success of a restoration company. They are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate, following program guidelines and IICRC standards. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have knowledge of the commercial and insurance restoration industry. A basic construction background, including understanding building materials, flooring, and other materials affected by wind, water, fire, smoke, and other property damages, will be beneficial. Xactimate experience is essential. Candidates without experience in this software will not be considered. Knowledge of the software must be demonstrated during the screening process. Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect and scope jobs onsite, collaborating with Project Manager, Crew Chief, or Lead Tech on the scope of work. Document loss with photos and upload into the operating system/software. Write reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating tools. Communicate job details and updates using the software's notes feature. Estimate costs based on carrier audit standards, incorporating feedback from clients and customers. Coordinate with project team to ensure all documentation, including photos and signed notes, is complete. Record drying progress using mobile software. Determine labor and equipment costs accurately. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and materials pricing. Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email promptly, acting as a liaison. Manage estimate documents and assess project risks. Review quotes and estimates with the construction team. Address estimate exceptions promptly. Physical Demands and Working Conditions
