This role focuses on supporting the development of high‑speed rotating machines within Drive Systems Engineering, often with limited upfront guidance.
What You'll Do
Assemble and debug prototype drive unit assemblies
Make and modify parts as necessary to support test rigs and prototypes
Test prototypes
Assess and document test results
What You'll Bring
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude with the ability to take things apart and reassemble without instructions
Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting skills including Microsoft Office and computer software literacy
Metalworking and general fabrication skills including knowledge of hand and power tools, pneumatic equipment
Machine shop experience with basic tools and machines (manual mill, engine lathe, drill press, bandsaw, belt sander, hand tools)
Equivalent trade school or college courses pertaining to CNC and milling operations
Knowledge of electrical hazards and precautionary measures around high voltage equipment and spinning machinery
Ability to use basic electrical tools: digital multimeter, megohmmeter, thermocouple meters
Basic wiring knowledge to connect sensors, power supplies, and data acquisition to test platforms
An interest in electric motors and gear trains

Compensation: $24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
