We are seeking an experienced Piping and Valves Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Team under the Reliability Solutions Department (RSD). RSD provides engineering support to Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing facilities (Refining, NGL Processing, and Petrochemicals), including reliability, inspection, corrosion management, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control support. Your primary role is to provide technical support to operating facilities and projects related to piping and valves, and to deploy new technologies. You will conduct technical studies and analyses for piping and valves including stress analysis, hydrotest pressure calculations, rating and de-rating, fitness for service, flange calculations and nozzle/branch calculations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct simple and complex analyses related to the design, specification and applications engineering tasks associated with Piping & Valves. Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer Piping & Valves packages suitable for design needs for reliable, cost-effective, and efficient operation. Perform investigations of Piping & Valves failures to identify root cause(s) and prevent reoccurrence. Participate in HAZOP Studies review. Provide engineering support to repair hydrocarbon leaks, review and approve bolted clamp calculations and designs by leak sealing contractors prior to field installation. Perform piping mechanical calculations: minimum wall thickness for internal and external pressure, branch reinforcement calculations, MAWP calculations per ASME B31.3, hydrotest pressure, rating/de-rating of piping circuits per API 570, fitness-for-service per API 579, pipe stress analysis (Caesar II), flange calculations (ASME VIII Div 1 App 2 with PVElite), nozzle calculations (WRC-107/297) and model in Caesar II or PVElite. Perform Hot Taps calculations using Aramco standards and API 2201. Provide guidance for on-steam inspection and CML optimization. Develop EWRs by preparing detailed design packages including scope of work, assembly/erection procedures, welding procedures, NDT requirements, material lists and drawings. Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred). Minimum of fifteen years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry’s downstream sector, with at least 10 years in piping & valves. Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and standards (ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, ISO) and proficiency with engineering software. Significant experience in piping stress analysis software (Caesar II). Knowledge of NDE techniques related to Piping & Valves. Deep understanding of fitness-for-service calculations per API 579. Experience in inspection and failure analysis of Piping & Valves. Fluency in English (spoken and written). Experience in piping vibration analysis is highly desirable. Experience with cement-lined, rubber-lined and non-metallic piping. Working environment
