This role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, and requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance. What You Will Do
Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works. Interpret program requirements to ensure the supply base understands and complies with quality requirements. Drive continuous product/process improvements of the supply base by identifying supplier risk and systemic performance issues, and drive solutions using tools such as Root Cause Corrective Actions, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies. Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and engage to improve supplier manufacturing processes. Travel up to 25% to support supplier assessments, audits, and reviews. Represent quality during review boards covering changes to supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews. What You Will Learn
Managing a complex supplier base across fields such as Electrical, Mechanical, and energetic systems. Expand APQP knowledge and experience. Engagement with critical external stakeholders (e.g., DCMA). Location Information
The position primarily interfaces with the program team in the Tucson, AZ area on an onsite work schedule. Some travel up to 25% may be required. Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM). 2 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline. Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Qualifications We Prefer
Six Sigma, Lean, and/or ASQ Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.). Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/customers. Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery. Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and remote collaboration. Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, AS9145 APQP & PPAP, and AS9102 FAI. Experience with SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, Lean, Control Plans, and other process improvement tools. General knowledge of industry technical standards (ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.). Strong technical engineer with excellent communication, presence, and self-management. What We Offer
