Role Overview
Onsite Senior Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to support the Precision Fires and Maneuver team. The PQE will support Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) as well as production contracts ensuring program goals are accomplished while staying compliant to AS9100 requirements. The successful candidate will help safeguard the effective integration and implementation of RTX processes and procedures within the constraints of Raytheon Command Media. The ideal candidate will influence peers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet mission goals and contractual requirements.
What You Will Do
Serve as a member of the Javelin Program team to ensure successful program performance and deliver conforming products/services through collaboration and adherence to processes and procedures.
Lead integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to align with quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
Act as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (DCMA and USG) and relevant factories/engineering labs for quality issues in development and production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and program leadership to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to ensure compliance with the supplier quality plan.
Review and approve changes to the technical data package; assign and complete actions in a timely manner (peer reviews, ERB/CCB, design reviews).
Ensure development hardware documentation is captured in quality history records and aligns to program quality plan requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Working experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102).
Experience leading teams in failure and root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
Experience interpreting technical drawings and reviewing technical data packages (TDP) and document repositories.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
ASQ Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
Experience with CORE or other Continuous Improvement programs.
Experience with 5S, Root Cause, Process Mapping, Lean Six Sigma.
Experience with APQP/AS9145, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and Control Plans.
Experience with First Article Inspections per AS9102; configuration control systems (e.g., cpDM, CABS); reviewing SOW, SCAR, and Q-Notes.
Experience in Change Control Board (CCB) processes and translating system/contract requirements to product documentation.
