Job Description: Water Treatment Plant Supervisor
This is a highly skilled technical role involving monitoring, record keeping, supervisory, and administrative duties at water treatment facilities, with exposure to field conditions. Salary:

Operate and interpret data from SCADA systems; make operational adjustments. Oversee and train SCADA operators in water treatment processes, including ozone, ion exchange, and GAC treatment. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, standards, and permits. Supervise and evaluate staff performance, approve schedules and leave requests. Maintain safety standards and records. Prepare and submit reports to EPA, FDEP, and SJMWMD; assist with operational data collection. Oversee maintenance, calibrate equipment, perform minor repairs, and report issues. Perform laboratory and field analyses; assist operators as needed. Manage compliance sampling and inform staff of operational updates. Order chemicals and supplies; respond to customer concerns. Additional Duties:
Perform emergency duties as required; other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' experience in water treatment operations, maintenance, compliance, and supervision. Valid Class B Water Plant Operator’s license (Class A preferred). Valid Florida Driver’s License. Experience with ozone, GAC, or ion exchange preferred. Regulatory sampling experience. Proficiency in SCADA operations. Certifications in A+ and Network+ (or ability to acquire within 18 months). Experience working with Florida regulatory agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry. Availability for any shift, including emergencies. Excellent communication skills. Note: A comparable combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
