N/A Basic Job Functions:

Improve safety and support manufacturing/business/maintenance operations through development, commissioning, integration, and maintenance of automated systems. Ensure high reliability for our Technological Infrastructure to drive business results. Perform research, design, development, and commissioning of automated systems to support the continuous improvement needs from manufacturing/business/maintenance operations using programming languages, including C, C#, Visual Basic .NET, and Visual Basic 6. Work with the Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams to maintain and optimize the Melt Shop and Roll Mill processes using Control System Theory. Support the continuous improvement of Level 2 Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and all automated systems along the plant through ISA-95 Data layers (sensors, actuators, Drives, PLC, SCADA, MES, and Industrial Networks), writing special automation tasks in the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Level 2 and ERP systems. Perform software development of high availability applications in Level 1 through programmable logic controller (PLC) programming in Siemens and Allen Bradley; Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) through SCADA platforms, including Wonderware, Archestra, WinCC, and Factory Talk; and Level 2 and Level 3 (ERP) through Hardware, Software, Operating Systems, and Infrastructure. Perform configuration, programming, monitoring, troubleshooting, and database administration for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), network switches, servers, and workstations.

Travel:

10% International and Domestic travel to both national and international suppliers. Responsibilities

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering Five (5) years of experience working on Level 2 systems in an industrial environment, including three (3) years with Manufacturing Execution Systems Experience includes: Control System Theory; programming languages such as C++, Visual Basic .NET, and Visual Basic 6 Development, commissioning, integration, and maintenance of automated systems ISA-95 Data layers (sensors, actuators, Drives, PLC, SCADA, MES, and Industrial Networks) SCADA platforms (Wonderware, Archestra, WinCC, Factory Talk); PLC programming in Allen Bradley and Siemens Hardware, software, operating systems, and infrastructure; configuration of servers and workstations Travel: 10% international and domestic to suppliers Preferred Qualifications
