Responsibilities
Plan, Develop, Execute and Commission process automation projects for steel manufacturing involving field sensors, PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), HMIs (Wonderware, FactoryTalk and WinCC).
Support Manufacturing and Maintenance operations. Collaborate with Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams to maintain and optimize production processes using Control System Theory.
Prepare AC & DC Motors and Drives and ISA-95 Information Layers spanning physical processes to business-related activities.
Perform Ethernet Network Setup and Troubleshooting, and document control devices on switches.
Develop Industrial Communication Protocol rules (Profinet, Profibus, EthernetIP, ControlNet, Modbus) governing data exchange between devices in industrial automation systems.
Manage, organize, and strengthen data acquisition systems at hardware and software levels (e.g., IbaPDA, IbaHD, IbaAnalyzer).
Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams on CEA project preparation and execution.
Support Process and Metallurgic teams on data and control systems integration requirements.
Serve as liaison with external contractors for industrial automation and modernization projects.
Ensure high reliability for our Technological Infrastructure to drive business results.
Travel: 10% International and Domestic for factory acceptance tests, meetings, and trainings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or foreign-equivalent degree in Process, Electronic, or Automation Engineering.
Five (5) years of experience in controls and automation engineering and maintenance in an industrial setting.
Experience includes: PLC installation/configuration/development (Siemens or Allen Bradley); HMI development/troubleshooting/support (System Platform, Intouch, Factory Talk View, or WinCC).
Experience applying Control System Theory and Ethernet Network Setup and Troubleshooting.
Experience developing Industrial Communication Protocol rules (Profinet, Profibus, EthernetIP, ControlNet, Modbus).
Experience preparing AC & DC Motors and Drives and ISA-95 Information Layers.
Travel: 10% International and Domestic for factory acceptance tests, meetings, and trainings.
