About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Sr. Hardware / Firmware Developer

to lead the development of embedded systems across hardware and firmware stacks. This role will be instrumental in designing, prototyping, and bringing to market high-performance, reliable hardware solutions. You will work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and product teams, while mentoring a team of developers and driving best practices in embedded design and development. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware and hardware solutions. Collaborate on system architecture decisions, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software. Write, review, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontrollers, sensors, wireless modules, etc. Review and provide feedback on PCB design and schematics. Design and implement low-level drivers and real-time applications. Interface with hardware peripherals (WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet). Drive development and optimization for bootloaders and/or bare-metal systems. Develop and maintain firmware development pipelines, debugging, and testing tools. Work closely with QA to define validation and test strategies for hardware and firmware. Ensure products comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE, ISO, UL). Qualifications

Must Have: 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design, with at least 1–2 years in a technical leadership role. Strong programming skills in

C/C++

for embedded systems. Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash). Deep understanding of PIC32MZ microcontroller architecture (e.g., MPLabX/Harmony Framework). Experience with onboard processors using Buildroot Linux. Yocto build layers, recipes, and machine configurations. Experience with hardware interfaces, peripherals, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN). Knowledge of RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and real-time application design. Experience with networking stacks and protocols, including IoT (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, CoAP, DHCP, HTTP/REST). Familiarity with digital and analog circuit design, schematics, and board bring-up. Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and Wireshark. Knowledge of firmware deployment, U-Boot, and OTA update concepts. Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa). Version control (e.g., Bitbucket, Git), issue tracking, and CI tools (Jenkins). Note:
