We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and support a variety of civil engineering projects. Position Summary The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for performing geotechnical analyses, preparing technical reports, and supporting both office and field operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical analyses, including soil mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability assessments.
Perform subsurface investigations, drilling operations, and field/laboratory testing of soils and construction materials.
Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including recommendations for design and construction.
Utilize engineering software such as gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, or similar for analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project goals and standards are met.
Travel to project sites as required for field investigations and inspections.
Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in project planning and scheduling.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree but not required.
0–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience; entry-level to mid-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
Engineer (E.I.) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and geotechnical analysis methods.
Experience with subsurface exploration, drilling operations, and field/laboratory testing.
Strong technical writing skills and effective client communication abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software (gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to perform both office-based and field work, including travel to project sites.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
