is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III (Engine) for Beale AFB, California. The role involves leading a team in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, providing technical guidance, and performing engine-related duties on GE jet engines and related components. Responsibilities

Lead a team in the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance; supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported. Perform, supervise, and inspect duties of Mechanic I, II, and III; maintain and repair aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of varying difficulty; work on flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation; interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical data. Utilize aircraft-specific tools and test equipment; provide guidance to lower-level technicians during modifications and maintenance efforts. Record entries in aircraft logs and records; ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Engine Mechanic-Specific Duties

Perform troubleshooting, repair, modification, and final adjustments to engines and engine components in maintenance shops or on aircraft; work on GE jet engines and related assemblies and accessories. Disassemble/reassemble engines; read and interpret technical orders, blueprints, and manuals; determine necessary repairs or replacements and perform required adjustments or alignments. Use automated test equipment and diagnostic tools; adapt emerging technology and new tools to identify engine-related problems. Complete repairs and major overhauls of engines, including related electrical, pneumatic, and fuel subsystems; troubleshoot secondary power systems and assist with engine installations. Set up work areas, inspect wiring harnesses, hydraulics, fuel lines, and other connections for faults; ensure proper final assembly and testing of engines. Perform micro welding on jet engine tail pipes and heat shielding blankets where required. Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years on platform preferred, or 3 years in AMIII career field. Authorized to clear Red X primary systems and to accomplish in-progress inspections (IPI) for primary systems. Authorized to remove warning/danger tags and sign condition tags. Four of four personnel in the engine/ground run category: fully qualified to verify Not Repairable This Station (NRTS) and operate tow vehicles. Four of four personnel certified to perform micro welding on tail pipe heat shielding blankets. Job Details
