STi is a private engineering contractor, founded in 1985, looking to fill positions for a contract with the federal government. The contract is long-term and has a high level of job stability. STi seeks a skilled Aircraft Mechanic III to support the 1106th TASMG in performing organizational (O), intermediate (I), and/or depot (D) level maintenance and modification work on UH-60, HH-60, AH-64, CH-47, and UH-72 aircraft series. The position requires repairing engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, and providing input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), and assisting in recommendations for changes to (MWO). Strong workload prioritization and team leadership for complex aircraft tasks are expected. This role includes documenting in aircraft logs and providing guidance to lower-level technicians during modifications and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
Lead a team in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Supervise and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported. Perform, supervise, and inspect duties of Mechanic I, II, and III levels. Repair and modify aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of varying difficulty. Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components; apply knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose malfunctions and restore operation. Interpret technical data (blueprints, manufacturer manuals) to solve complex problems. Apply comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting/repair procedures and component replacement. Possess thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair; assess non-complex electrical systems. Utilize aircraft-specific tools and test equipment; mentor lower-level technicians. Provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers; manage workload to meet delivery schedules. Make entries in aircraft logs and records as required. Qualifications
All Aircraft Mechanic III positions require Aviation Mechanic Experience (not just general maintenance). Aviation mechanic experience on UH-60, HH-60, AH-64, CH-47, and/or UH-72 aircraft series is preferred. Military experience and supervisory/team lead experience are a plus. Job Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair and component replacement. Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair; ability to evaluate non-complex electrical systems. Familiarity with aircraft tools (test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, shears, etc.). Ability to provide technical support to engineers and customers; strong organizational skills to meet delivery schedules. Must have Aviation Mechanic Experience (not just general maintenance). Desirable: aviation mechanic experience on UH-60, HH-60, AH-64, CH-47, and/or UH-72; supervisory/team lead experience. Additional Information
