Quality Engineer - Aerospace at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Berea, OH. Part of the Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) team, on-site at two EAP sites located in Manchester and Columbia, CT. Join a global team supporting brands such as DEWALT, BLACK+DECKER, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, and more. Responsibilities
Ensure product conformity across all Value Streams of the Berea, Ohio facility. Maintain QMS (AS9100, AS9101, AS9102, AS9103, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc.). Support calibration, quality control, and quality assurance systems. Develop and implement quality standards and practices for inspection, testing, and product/process evaluation. Coordinate with Enterprise Quality to align with customer, standard agencies, and QMS requirements. Support the Quality Inspection function to ensure compliance with QMS requirements. Analyze in-process customer/purchase orders to ensure compliance with QMS and customer requirements. Partner with Berea functions to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, escapes, rework, and scrap costs. Represent Quality on cross-functional teams for CI, MRB, RCCA, and customer concerns. Establish and supervise SPC for process monitoring. Serve as an internal auditor for process/product auditing. Experience in AS9102 FAI and AS9100 QMS. Active participant in APQP processes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 4 years of relevant aerospace manufacturing quality experience (U.S. citizen or permanent resident). Experience with AS9100D, AS9101/2/3, AS9145, ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent. CI tools experience (Lean/RCCA belts or equivalent). Advanced experience in root cause problem solving and RCCA. Significant experience in data and trend analysis. Preferred Qualifications
Experience as Manufacturing, Process, or Quality Engineer. Certified AS9100 Auditor; Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems; aerospace structures experience. Military and/or commercial aerospace experience. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE); Quality Representative experience a plus. CMQ/OE certification a plus. Details
