We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee university renovation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will coordinate subcontractors, manage site operations, and maintain close communication with the project team and campus stakeholders. A well-established general contracting firm based in Connecticut focuses on institutional projects such as educational and cultural facilities. The firm handles a range of work from complex renovations to ground-up construction, delivering projects with attention to safety, quality, and collaboration. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Oversee daily on-site operations for construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve field issues or conflicts. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout all phases of construction. Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, schedules, and field records, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Profile / Qualifications
Experience as a working superintendent on educational and cultural projects. Proven track record of effectively managing daily on-site construction activities with a focus on safety, quality, and adherence to timelines. Ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to ensure efficient workflow and high workmanship standards. Hands-on experience in conducting site inspections, identifying and resolving issues proactively, and enforcing safety and compliance protocols. Clear, professional communication with project managers, architects, clients, and other stakeholders.
