Sabre Systems is recruiting for a
Senior Engineer
to support the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program Office (PMA 299) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will provide Class Desk support with responsibilities involving coordination of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts with Norway and South Korea. The candidate will provide technical leadership to identify, diagnose and resolve complex engineering issues that require a comprehensive understanding of H-60 aircraft systems and subsystems. The candidate will coordinate engineering support with NAVAIR’s engineering divisions, external field engineering facilities and test sites, ensuring that engineering resources are applied to issues in a timely and effective manner to support program execution. Responsibilities Performs tasks with little or no guidance or leads the execution of complex tasks. Demonstrates knowledge in the area of engineering expertise. Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military aircraft and weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military aircraft and weapons systems, and related support systems. Qualifications Education: Must hold a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university. Allowable substitution: A Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree with an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience. Minimum experience: At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems; demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise. Key skills: Experience providing Class Desk support within a Navy program office environment. Prior involvement with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Strong understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation. Ability to liaise with stakeholders across U.S. Navy, partners, and industry to ensure program milestones and deliverables are met. Experience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, specifications, and technical risk assessments for acoustics or sensor systems. Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Compensation Senior Level. Compensation is based on location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $70,000–$200,000; final compensation determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
