Location: Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Lexington Park, MD
Overview Sabre Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to provide support to the H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office (PMA-261). The program provides systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms, including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems, and the evaluation of technical performance, mission suitability, and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.
Responsibilities
Performs duties to support the Systems Engineer supporting SBIR/Science & Technology.
Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identification, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guides the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
Performs software acquisition functions, requirements management, and the understanding of software workflow.
Must be able to perform software requirements broken down into systems requirements.
Qualifications
Must have a bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
Must have at least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Must be a US Citizen.
Compensation Mid/Journeyman Level: compensation is based on location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $60,000-$150,000; final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
