RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer (Industrial industry) in Sparks, NV.
Responsibilities:
Lead HVAC Engineer will complete project planning, coordination, and execution with some oversight Independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for multiple small and medium sized standard projects simultaneously Create conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards Responsible for HVAC calculations, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping systems on assigned projects Solid understanding of applications engineering such as psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems Appropriate engagement of engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions Proactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners As a Lead HVAC Engineer, you will conduct economic and energy analyses Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving/troubleshooting, as required Responsible for the quality of design drawings and models Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines Oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required 3+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals Thorough understanding of systems and applications Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
