Position
Propulsion System Simulation Engineer
Responsibilities
Conduct propulsion system simulations for battery packs, including discharge, durability, and charging behavior analysis. Track simulation results and identify next-step actions to inform testing and design decisions. Profile and manage simulation workload, ensuring smooth handover to future permanent hires for ongoing programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results with engineering analysis, validation, and design activities. Maintain accurate documentation of simulation parameters, results, and recommended actions. Support continuous improvement of simulation workflows and modeling accuracy. Ensure simulations adhere to project timelines and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in battery, EV propulsion, or energy storage system simulation. Proficiency in simulation tools relevant to battery performance, durability, and charging (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent). Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to inform engineering decisions. Excellent documentation and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000-$135,000. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
