Product Development Coordinator-Johnston & Murphy

Job Summary
This position will support the Product Development Team for the men's wovens and knits categories of Johnston & Murphy apparel as well as special collections and business-to-business programs. This role will support all areas of the apparel process to include work from initial design and development through bulk approvals, vendor and account communication, and sample management. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, a strong eye for detail, and a positive, team-oriented mentality.
Responsibilities
Support the product development team in the execution of the timeline and total production process from initial concept to delivery.
Manage communication with external business-to-business accounts and facilitate internal operational processes as required.
Develop and maintain seasonal line plans for designated vendors and programs.
Review all incoming samples, lab dips, strike offs, sample yardage submits, bulk submits and subsequently communicate approvals or rejections to specified vendors.
Ensure all samples are accurately labeled and inventoried, both physically and digitally.
Coordinate sample distribution to appropriate cross functional teams.
Prepare product and materials for presentations and meetings with both internal and external audiences.
Manage shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing packages.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field of study
1-3 years of related experience
Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to effectively manage competing priorities with tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Driven and solution-oriented with new and challenging projects
Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint
