Overview
Mechanical Project Manager at WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions, located in Cheyenne, WY. If you love managing large, complex construction projects, mentoring others, and prioritizing safety, this role provides the opportunity to work on mission-critical, multi-phase hyperscale data center campus development projects while developing your skills in estimating, financials, and project management within the design-build construction process. What You’ll Do
Provide oversight to a single large project or multiple Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) construction projects, including personnel management, contract compliance, project planning and scheduling, reporting, cash flow, materials management, safety, job cost and profitability, managing trades and the impact of changes in work. Partner with field craftspeople and supervision, the project team, general contractor, other subcontractors, and the client. Utilize LEAN principles and understand what the owner wants to deliver value. Play a key role in managing the financials to ensure the project remains profitable. Continually develop and nurture customer relationships beyond a single project. Mentor Project Engineers and help prepare them for the next step in their profession in keeping with our core value “People.” Plan the project from start to finish, coordinating all moving parts involved and what it takes to successfully manage the process. What You’ll Need To Be Successful
Experience managing mechanical construction projects. Accountability and initiative for all aspects of the project and its success. Strong problem-solving ability and field experience. Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, mechanical, piping, including design, construction, and operation. Planning, innovation, and continuous process improvement mindset. Ability to lead in driving innovative construction techniques and prefabrication strategies. Strong leadership, business acumen, and integrity. Understanding of project financials and forecasting. Ability to build and foster strong relationships with the field and maximize team performance. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve mutual outcomes. What You Bring To The Table
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; 7-10+ years of related experience. Experience managing multiple MEP projects at an MEP firm. Experience with Design/Build and IPD projects is a plus. Familiarity with Lean Construction tools is a plus. Experience working on data centers, federal projects, industrial and/or healthcare is a plus. Job Details
