Overview
Building Maintenance Specialist Full Time - Leominster, MA. Pay: US $18.58 To $22.09 Hourly. This role provides building services for the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority, ensuring buildings are clean, safe, and in orderly condition. Works with third-party vendors, escorting, verifying, or assisting as needed. Performs preventative and reactive maintenance functions, including landscaping care, snow removal, and ground maintenance. Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspect buildings, equipment, and systems weekly to identify and address issues. Inspect and monitor building heating/cooling systems to ensure staff comfort and system efficiency. Complete assigned work orders; utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Repair faulty building systems and assist in development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures. Develop solutions to maintenance issues as they arise; conduct periodic quality checks on equipment. Perform general maintenance tasks (landscaping, snow removal, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work). Operate and maintain snow removal equipment (e.g., plows, sanders, snow blowers) to ensure safe and accessible facilities during winter weather. Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies and stock commonly used items. May be called in for after-hours emergencies as needed. When duties change, perform other duties as required by business needs; employees may be asked to review changes in their job duties during performance evaluations. Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience as a housekeeper, janitor, building custodian, or similar capacity Experience with cleaning a commercial, institutional, or government facility; knowledge of typical cleaning protocols Experience with cleaning products, chemicals, and appropriate uses Able to read, write, and understand English Valid Driver’s License Skills: time management, ability to work independently, ability to lift at least 25 pounds, basic math, familiarity with janitorial tasks, safe handling of cleaning supplies, and use of basic cleaning equipment (mop, broom, vacuum) Job Details
