The Patient Services Associate will work closely with a diverse population of patients and medical professionals. Responsibilities include: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and callers Greet patients and visitors and assist them as appropriate Review daily schedules to ensure accuracy and identify appointment opportunities Schedule and reschedule appointments in accordance with CHC scheduling guidelines Collect, verify, update, and document patient demographics and insurance information Reconcile patient visits daily Verify active insurance coverage and status and update information as necessary Collect patient payments, balances, and copays; assist with payment plans/sliding fee applications Complete end-of-day reporting and ensure records balance Answer and direct incoming calls and document as needed in the EHR Assist patients in completing forms and scan into the EHR per indexing protocols Maintain patient confidentiality Escalate concerns to site leads/Operations Manager and suggest improvements Support management in monitoring office supplies and meet departmental goals Perform other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications
Associate degree, medical office or medical assistant degree required Bilingual skills in Spanish required Exceptional customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to multi-task and strong problem solving and organizational skills Healthcare experience in Medical, Dental, or Behavioral Health preferred Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word preferred Hours, Location, and Environment
