The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Advanced Practicing Provider. Candidates should have an interest in academic medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. This position will be 40% research and 20% clinical billable. Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and providing comprehensive care to patients. Essential Functions
Work collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and provide comprehensive care to patients. Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests. Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. Monitor the effectiveness of interventions. Maintain accurate medical records. Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed. Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans. Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice. Participate in research and development projects for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students and medical students. Required Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program. Professional Degree Graduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessor agencies. Required Trainings/Certifications
Current/valid RN and APN license/license eligible to practice in the state of Ohio. May require certification in corresponding specialty. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Must be licensed/license eligible in the State of Ohio with prescriptive authority. Required Experience
Three (3) years nursing experience. Minimum of one (1) year experience is required. Physical Requirements/Work Environment
