Primary Responsibilities Primary responsibilities for the APP (Advance Practice Provider) will include supporting the Pelvic Health Center by providing patient care at one or more of our clinical locations – University of Cincinnati Medical Campus, West Chester Hospital Campus or Midtown medical office building near Norwood. Clinical care will include initial and return patient visits, post‑operative follow up, and performing office‑based procedures based on training and licensure. APP will see patients independently.
Essential Functions
Working collaboratively with Uro‑Gynecology specialists to provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients.
Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
Perform office‑based procedures within the scope of practice.
Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence‑based practice.
Possible participation in research and development projects.
Participate in education of APP learners.
Work collaboratively with residents, fellows and medical students.
Perform history and physical examinations in the outpatient setting; write progress notes and narrative discharge summaries.
Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment modalities.
Maintain accurate medical records, and complete in a timely fashion per department standards.
Seek the consultation of supervising physicians when needed and participate in case/chart review.
Participate in quality and safety initiatives.
Complete all training in a timely fashion.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Minimum Requirements Nurse Practitioner
Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
Three (3) years nursing experience.
Physician’s Assistant
Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority.
Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub‑specialty.
