Summary We are seeking a Technical Product Specialist to join our High-Speed Backplane team. The role will interface with customers, internal product development, product marketing, and sales teams, supporting product management and customer engagement across the product life cycle.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the sales team to support new commercial opportunities, participate in customer engagements, gather technical/product requirements, and drive internal resources.
Prepare materials and participate in product presentations as necessary.
Support RFQs and RFPs; aid in the development of a pricing strategy that achieves target profit margins at all stages of the product life cycle.
Lead the product sampling process for customers, including managing and communicating schedules to customers.
Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products.
Develop marketing materials, including product datasheets, press releases, and other online or printed marketing collateral.
Develop sales and marketing tools, providing technical assistance to customers and the sales team.
Analyze product sales data, including tracking revenue and margin by product/part number/region/customer.
Job‑related travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
2+ years providing product marketing and sales technical support to drive commercial wins.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to lead and navigate dynamic environments.
Technical aptitude, including ability to read mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with global and multicultural teams in marketing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, vendors, and customers.
