Sourcing Specialist 1 - Sourcing Management
Job Description Summary
In this role, you will support GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s indirect materials procurement and fulfillment efforts. You will work cross‑functionally in close partnership with GE Hitachi (GEH) business teams to execute key purchasing, ERP and fulfillment operations within the Sourcing team. You will also work closely with suppliers to ensure overall procurement and fulfillment success.
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the day‑to‑day execution of indirect sourcing fulfillment processes.
Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers.
Lead fulfillment activities and allocate needs to specific suppliers as required.
Work with requestors, internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage supplier performance, including order fulfillment, invoice reception and reconciliation, continuous improvement and problem resolution.
Leverage technical, sourcing and analytical skills to solve emerging fulfillment challenges.
Support, maintain and update key sourcing tools, processes and systems including ERP.
Support Lean culture by working cross‑functionally to improve purchasing processes and supporting systems.
Flexibility to support buyer activities such as issuing POs, change notices, resolving supplier order and invoice issues when needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college, university or equivalent OR high school diploma with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing.
4 years of professional or military experience in a procurement, financial, technical, operations or project management role. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system.
Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time as required.
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or Business.
Previous sourcing, project management, financial, engineering, material planning or supply chain experience.
Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), variable labor or other indirect sourcing procurement experience.
Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles, and procedures.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Oracle or SAP ERP systems.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
Effective problem identification and resolution skills.
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent.

Competitive base pay range of $72,700.00 – $96,900.00 USD annually.
