Overview Project Manager – Public Works at LJA Land Development. Administer and manage civil engineering projects from design through construction, oversee staff, budgets, and schedules ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Design general water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Prepare and review construction documents using AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Conduct QA/QC reviews of plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Coordinate with government agencies to process construction documents.

Attend client and contractor meetings.

Provide bid and construction phase services, including field visits, inspections, and reports.

Manage project budgets and schedules.

Supervise technical staff and EITs.

Support marketing and proposal efforts with existing and potential clients.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Civil/Public Works Engineering.

2+ years’ experience as a P.E. preferred.

Project design and management experience for public works clients in the Texas Gulf Coast region.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build strong client relationships.

Preferred

Experience leading a project team through design and construction phases.

Strong marketing and business development skills.

Proven record of QA/QC excellence and attention to detail.
