Base pay range: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per year (classification).

Location: Sacramento County. Hybrid telework – up to 3 days per week; in-person at least 2 days.

About the Role Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) in the County Oversight and Monitoring II Unit is responsible for collecting, verifying, and analyzing county Medi‑Cal call center data to assess data completeness and trend indicators. The role includes providing training and technical assistance to reduce county call center wait times or abandonment rates, and reviewing Medi‑Cal cases for program compliance.

Responsibilities

Collect, verify, and analyze county Medi‑Cal call center data to assess data completeness and trend indicators.

Provide county-level training and technical assistance to reduce call center wait time or abandonment rate trends.

Review Medi‑Cal cases to determine accuracy of program administration.

Navigate various Medi‑Cal eligibility systems and interpret complex regulatory requirements.

Explain policies and regulations clearly to external stakeholders.

Make oral presentations to staff and stakeholders.

Travel to attend meetings and conduct provider/staff training and contract oversight (≤5% of time).

Qualifications

Permanent civil service status or eligible for examination; exam required if not eligible.

Working knowledge of the Medi‑Cal program and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills – oral and written.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Medi‑Cal eligibility systems.

Analytical, problem‑solving, and research skills.

Desirable Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of the Medicaid program.

County Medi‑Cal eligibility worker experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Detailed organization and planning skills.

Computer skills – word processing, spreadsheet, email.
