Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager , supporting our teams in Dulles and Baltimore. This is a hybrid role with up to three days per week onsite in Dulles or Baltimore. Responsibilities:
The
Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager
is responsible for planning, permitting, and designing land development, utility systems, roadways, and other infrastructure components for government, institutional, commercial, and transportation clients. The role includes: Working with project teams on land development and site design projects, including project setup, drafting, design, quality review, and coordination. Preparing and modifying construction documents, reports, specifications, and other deliverables. Analyzing maps, reports, drawings, as-builts, and test results. Providing post-design support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, as-builts, and field observations. Establishing budgets and labor projections. Collaborating with office staff and management to meet budgets and deadlines. Preparing engineering calculations and coordinating construction drawings. Developing project plans and specifications. Performing quality assurance reviews. Consulting with engineers, architects, environmental scientists, and stakeholders. Designing and permitting civil construction projects, including stormwater management and erosion control. Mentoring junior engineers and technicians. Performing business development activities. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have: Six or more years of progressive civil engineering experience. Professional Engineer license in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC, or ability to obtain within six months. Experience with engineering design software (MicroStation/InRoads, AutoCAD/Civil 3D). Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction materials, methods, and procedures. Self-sufficient and adaptable with the ability to handle multiple projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
