Position Description
As a Civil Designer you will integrate the process of document production with a more detailed understanding of design and systems components. This position will be exposed to Civil land development and water/wastewater design along with calculations, specifications, and an expanded understanding of codes with a continuum advanced practice of three-dimensional AutoCAD and Civil 3D and production of site design. A Civil Designer at this level will have the ability to take small to medium sized projects from conception to final design with little input from a senior engineer.

Position Salary Range The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
4 to 10 years of project experience
ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering
Has passed the FE or has EIT certification
Advanced knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D, proficient with WaterCAD, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArcGIS, as well as Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work with engineering concepts in real world applications
Proficiency in technical writing
Ability to take small to medium sized projects from conception to final design with little input from a senior engineer
Preferred Qualifications
Working towards or already have a Professional Engineer License (or ability to obtain by comity) in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office

Position Responsibilities
Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Collaborate with other disciplines to produce preliminary concepts and drawings
Complete cost estimates and research codes and/or jurisdictional requirements
Develop positive external and internal client relationships and participate in meetings with either internal or external clients to determine project goals
Prepare calculations, technical memorandums and reports
Construction administration including, but not limited to, onsite field observation
Be called upon to support our design teams in partnership with Architects, Engineers and Business Professionals remotely and across our office locations

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, licensure status, location, proficiency, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.
