Overview

Senior Drainage Engineer role at Lochner Lochner is an infrastructure services provider serving aviation, surface transportation and water clients. We seek a candidate to lead drainage analysis and design for transportation and civil projects, manage budgets and schedules, collaborate with clients, supervise junior staff, and contribute to marketing proposals. Responsibilities

Demonstrate technical ability in analysis and design of water resources tasks such as storm water management BMPs, storm drainage systems, open channels, closed conduit hydraulics, culverts, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, and NPDES permit documentation and water quality BMP design. Prepare hydrological and hydraulic calculations and models. Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Prepare plans, specifications, drainage reports, and exhibits. Coordinate and oversee efforts of more junior staff. Provide quality control checks on work performed under your direction. Collaborate in a multi-discipline office team. Develop project scope of work documents and project plans that include benefit analysis, cost, schedule, and risk assessment. Monitor and communicate project issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies during development. Meet with project teams and effectively communicate progress. Occasionally visit project sites to evaluate progress and status. Familiarity with UDOT and local agency design criteria and standards. Professional Requirements

Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Utah PE or ability to obtain through comity. 8-12 years of experience in water resources design and management. Strong oral and written communication skills. Computer skills: Microsoft Office, analysis software such as HEC-RAS, HY-8, FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, CUHP/SWMM, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
