Civil/Water Resources Engineer
in our Transportation and Infrastructure division. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of water resources tasks such as drainage, erosion and sediment pollution control (ESPC), post-construction stormwater management (PCSM), and hydrology/hydraulics engineering. They should be capable of designing conveyance systems and addressing waterway and NPDES permitting challenges for bridge and highway projects. Responsibilities include storm sewer and channel design, hydrologic studies, hydraulic modeling, scour analysis, technical writing, and waterway and NPDES permitting. Responsibilities
Delivering conveyance, ESPC, and PCSM calculations and plans, NPDES permits, and waterway permits to relevant agencies. Serving as a task leader for drainage, ESPC, PCSM, hydraulic and hydrology (H&H), and waterway permitting activities across PA and NJ. Designing H&H and waterway permits for various projects, including highway and bridge works. Storm sewer system design using NJDOT and PennDOT practices. Developing ESPC staging, detailing, grading designs, BMP calculations, and related documentation. Conducting PCSM volume, rate, and water quality analyses, and designing SCM and BMPs. Serving as the PE sealing engineer on reports and plans and ensuring quality control. Managing multiple projects within project teams and mentoring staff. Performing hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and drainage analyses. Working with alternative delivery methods like design/build and accelerated bridge construction. Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and at least 8 years of experience. PA and/or NJ Professional Engineering License. Experience with hydrology and hydraulics software such as HEC-RAS, FHWA HY-8, Watershed Modeling System (WMS), MicroStation, Bentley InRoads, HydroCAD, Pondpack, or similar. Knowledge of PA and NJ stormwater rules, BMP manuals, permitting requirements, and related regulations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Additional Information
