Job Location: Deer Park, TX Job type: Full-time Onsite
What You'll Do As a Production Engineer you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by acting as a technical resource for Asset Operations, providing engineering support to help operational work teams run safe, efficient, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations.
What We're Looking For
Understands the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit.
Works with other technical roles and plant personnel to meet business and plant goals.
Supports and follows the work process and standard work practices required by the site and unit.
Ensures the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit performance and production.
Improves unit operating discipline and plant operating procedures.
Initiates MOC’s as necessary.
Assists in troubleshooting and facilitates training of operating personnel in trouble shooting skills.
Networks with reliability, maintenance and improvement engineers to resolve issues, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage technology and best practices into the unit.
As requested, trains and communicates process technology and technical information to plant personnel.
Leads and contributes as required in root cause investigations for unplanned events per site and unit guidelines and requirements.
Leads and supports targeted process and productivity improvement teams.
Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
Understands and closes unit asset utilization operational performance gaps.
Maintains a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.
Skills That Make a Difference
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred.
4+ years of operational experience within a chemical plant including co-ops or internships.
