$72,800.00/yr - $83,200.00/yr What this job involves:

This role is for a lead HVAC technician who will serve as the team expert in HVAC/R systems, providing technical leadership and guidance to the Mobile Engineering Services team. You'll travel between multiple client facilities, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, responding to emergencies, conducting quality assurance inspections, and ensuring optimal operation of all building mechanical systems while maintaining client satisfaction and safety compliance.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Serve as team expert providing technical guidance and support for all HVAC/R repairs and services Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and building automation systems Conduct weekly on-site Quality Assurance inspections of maintained facilities and prepare technical evaluation reports Respond effectively to emergency service calls and coordinate mobile team resources as needed Assist in managing Mobile Engineering Services (MES) team resources and work order priorities Maintain liaison with Operations Manager regarding job completion dates, priorities, and critical building issues Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo Complete hazard assessments, maintain safety compliance, and attend required training seminars Submit daily P-card receipts and prepare monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 6 years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering Minimum of 4 years technical experience in packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment repair/maintenance Strong background in technical aspects of HVAC/R and building maintenance Valid state driver's license and ability to perform Vehicle Safety Inspection Universal CFC recovery certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in adverse conditions Must be available for on-call work

Preferred:

Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing or other craft skills 3rd Party Certification Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel Experience with building automation systems and fire/life safety systems Knowledge of overall system design and applications
