IMEG is seeking a

Civil Project Engineer

in our

South Dakota

office. As a

Civil Project Engineer , you will assist Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications and construction plan preparation. They may direct and train Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers. Responsibilities

Draft procedures and system requirements for clients Utilize various design software Coordinate municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines Complete permit applications for a variety of municipalities Flexible pavement design and rigid pavement design Geometric pavement and site circulation design Prepare specifications and cost estimates Traffic warrants and guardrail warrants Regularly have work assignments checked by peer or supervisor Direct and train Civil Designers to assist in completing reports, exhibits, plans, specifications and permit applications as required by the project scope Perform additional functions as listed in Civil Designers’ responsibility Key skills and abilities

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precise technical plans and drawings Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong oral and written communication Understanding of materials and methods; ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply to project needs Ability to consistently produce high-quality construction documents Education and experience
