Key Responsibilities
Lead generation of detailed and competitive project estimates using Innergy software.
Analyze construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and needs.
Develop and maintain accurate scopes of work incorporating advanced millwork and fabrication methods.
Conduct site visits and integrate site conditions into the estimate process.
Proactively assess project risks, assumptions, and clarify exclusions.
Maintain and enhance estimating libraries and cost databases.
Analyze historical project data to refine unit pricing, labor rates, and production factors.
Apply technical knowledge of millwork and preservation to estimate fabrication details.
Collaborate with operations, PMs, and field staff to align scope and expectations.
Engage with clients, architects, and GCs to resolve scope and preconstruction challenges.
Lead project handoff meetings and communicate scope, risks, and exceptions.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in historic preservation, custom woodworking, custom fabrication
Proficiency with Innergy or similar ERP/estimating software
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, millwork, and custom fabrication techniques
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to produce high-value estimates for complex projects
Understanding of historic window restoration materials and methods
Preferred:
Advanced degree or professional certification in estimating or historic preservation
Experience with cost database management and process improvement
Familiarity with regulatory standards for historic restoration
