Job Description: Mechanical Designer (Oil & Gas) We are looking for a Mechanical Designer with 2–5 years of experience to join our engineering team in the oil and gas industry. This role will focus on the design of piping systems, pressure vessels, and structural components for projects in the oil and gas sector. Key responsibilities include: Developing 3D models and 2D drawings using CADWorx and AutoCAD. Designing piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and pressure vessel components. Producing detailed drawings for fabrication and construction based on project specifications. Reviewing and interpreting P&IDs, technical specifications, and client requirements. Collaborating with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and compliance with industry codes. Assisting with design optimization, materials selection, and ensuring designs adhere to relevant standards. Requirements: 2–5 years of mechanical design experience, with a focus on piping, vessel, and structural design in the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in CADWorx Plant Professional and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of ASME codes, design practices, and engineering standards for oil and gas facilities. Familiarity with Codeware COMPRESS or similar software for pressure vessel design is highly desirable. Experience interpreting P&IDs, technical drawings, and client specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical design, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Field experience, including walkdowns and redline markups, is a plus.
