Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer in Chesapeake, VA to join our team. Below is more information on what we’re looking for in a candidate for the role: Skills / Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of PLC and HMI / SCADA programming experience. PLC Programming: Proficient in programming PLCs. HMI / SCADA Systems: Skilled in programming HMI / SCADA systems. Industrial Electrical Experience: Hands‑on experience with troubleshooting, including 480VAC 3‑phase, 120 VAC, 24VDC systems, VFDs, and panel design. Automation Controls: Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying automation controls, including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, and standard electrical components. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25%, though current project workload requires less. Preferred Qualifications
Instrumentation Experience: Familiarity with process control instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and level transmitters. Emerson Control Wave Experience: Additional expertise in Emerson Control Wave systems. Compensation: up to $125k (exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education). Compensation
