Job Description Title: Systems Engineer (Infrastructure Automation)
Duties: The Systems Engineer (Infrastructure Automation) will drive the development, implementation, and support of AutoZone’s compute, virtualization, storage and core automation environments. A Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing AutoZone’s infrastructure automation and engineering disciplines. Will work closely with other internal teams to ensure both existing and new processes, procedures and operational practices meet or exceed the reliability, stability and time-to-delivery needs of the company. Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain automation code, including Ansible development, bash scripting, and Python. Manage and support automation tooling including supporting Ansible AWX and Kubernetes. Create and support infrastructure-as-code development as well as updating existing IaC including Ansible, Terraform, and bash. Collaborate with other IT teams on automation initiatives and pipelines. Troubleshoot infrastructure automation and target systems including cloud migrations from on-prem infrastructure.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of IT infrastructure automation and DevOps automation experience.
GCP provisioning, automation, and configuration.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration management.
Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX, and Ansible roles.
Managing infrastructure using code and automation tooling including Ansible or Terraform.
Linux-based environments including provisioning, de-provisioning, shell scripting, and patching strategies.
Python, shell scripting, and PowerShell.
RESTful services, CI/CD pipelines, and building integrations between various services.
Containerization and container orchestration principles including Kubernetes.
Agile project processes, Jira, and source code management using Git.
Employer will give 2 years’ experience credit for a relevant master’s degree.
