Position Objectives
The Product Compliance Specialist has the responsibility to establish and set the direction of the Technical Compliance Program to ensure products comply with international Technical Regulations. Develop and manage quality processes related to compliance including but not limited to design guidelines, incoming inspection, customer request evaluation, third-party inspections/audits, final certification/declaration of equipment prior to shipment, collection/storage of all compliance related documentation. Position Description
Spearheads the strategic development of the quality standards and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements for product compliance. Manage and maintain technical documentation for support of country-specific certification requirements. Maintain record retention requirements and timely file retrieving period according to the respective directive. Collects and analyses quality data to ensure compliance of ongoing projects Coordinate with certifying agencies to identify and meet certification regulations and ensure compliance. Identify and respond to new and revised regulations and directives relating to MAAG Group GALA products and Quality Systems. Develop ongoing training system to ensure wide understanding and acceptance of the compliance program Work with vendors and other outside sources to communicate regulatory requirement and establish means to assure compliance to respective directives. Collaborate with internal Maag Americas departments for alignment. Coordinates with others third party inspections on equipment involving factory acceptance testing (FAT) Investigate logistic and monetary implications to pursue conformance to the regulations and directives of untapped markets. Participate and help drive Continuous Improvement activity and projects. Qualifications / Professional Experience
5+ years of Quality Engineering experience 3+ years of process development and internal auditing experience Desirable
Working knowledge of EU directives and UL Standards Experience in international regulation and directives (EAC, ATEX, CE, NR12) 3+ years’ experience in technical specification design and documentation 3+ years’ experience in supporting the implementation of an ISO-9001 program Education
Bachelor’s or Associate degree highly desirable but not mandatory or significant experience previous job experience in similar field. Desirable
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Work Environment
Work in this position is in a factory floor and office environment. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, and PPE is required. Physical Requirements
