Do you like working on different types of machinery and have an appreciation for them to work correctly? What We Are Looking For

Experienced Industrial Electronic Field Service Technician with an electro-mechanical background. VFD and PLC background. Strong electro-mechanical problem solvers. Positive attitude and energetic personality. Good writing and oral communication skills. Able to work effectively with others and independently. Ability to multi-task. Self-driven, well organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Job Duties

Performs troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, Motion Controllers, AC/DC drives, and industrial devices for Innovative IDM customers. On-site troubleshooting and electronic repair of simple to complex production machinery. Installation and start-up of industrial control systems. Participate in a rotational on-call after-hours service. Work with internal and external customers. Performs field retrofits and start-up services of large-scale complex control systems. Adopts a “do whatever it takes” mentality to service and repair products to meet customer needs. Researches and resolves difficult technical service situations in a calm, professional and efficient manner. This is an on-site field role (not IT). Requirements

Must have 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electronic controls including relays, contactors, solenoids and control logic. Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematic diagrams. Skill to troubleshoot, repair, and program AC VFDs and DC motor controls. Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and servo motion controllers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter who works independently and is self-motivated. Creativity and tenacity to troubleshoot and repair all types of electronic and industrial devices. Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency. Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills. Electrical/electronic ACAD and PLC programming experience is a plus. Four-year degree preferred. Must possess applicable hand tools.
