Contract 2nd shift IT Support Engineer position in Columbus, OH. Overview

RRD has an immediate opening for a Contract 2nd shift IT Support Engineer in our Columbus, OH facility. Hours are M-F, 4:00pm-12:00am. Responsibilities

Provides support and works across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests related to the endpoint fleet of equipment. Communicates effectively about a broad range of technologies and explains solutions in technical and nontechnical terms. Delivers first class customer service and ensures that all customers are treated efficiently and appropriately. Handles routine problems without assistance and provides remote support to other facilities as part of the daily role. Acts as a mentor to peers through knowledge sharing and guidance with assignments. Builds, installs and maintains endpoints (PCs & MAC) in accordance with IT standards. Maintains and troubleshoots issues related to installed endpoints Windows & MAC, with routine maintenance as assigned. Prioritizes problems based on severity, urgency and impact to the business; tracks all outstanding incidents until resolution; may escalate to higher-level support as needed. Collaborates with enterprise support teams and outside vendors to resolve problems. Works with Microsoft Active Directory; SCCM a plus. Manages local LAN architecture and components in compliance with enterprise standards. Coordinates through change management to move, install, upgrade, remove and configure site IT assets and supporting infrastructure. Supports wireless networks, servers, network and peripheral devices related to desktop infrastructure per department standards. Takes ownership of issues and performs problem analysis to implement appropriate solutions; escalates as necessary. Identifies potential changes and system improvements for management consideration. Ensures work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines and corporate policies. Logs and maintains interactions (incidents, change tickets, etc.) in the ITSM toolset. Maintains and takes ownership of asset records throughout the life-cycle of end-points. Performs routine audits of site IT assets and processes to ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a discipline related to the role OR 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to solve moderately complex problems by analyzing variables and applying learned solutions. Following facilities EHS PPE procedures is required. Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally to move objects. Knowledge of endpoint software OS (Windows, MAC), Microsoft Office, Google Suite & Google Drive is a plus. Ability to recognize anomalies and respond appropriately; strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to learn specialized software as needed and maintain expertise in primary tools used daily. Commitment to provide first-class customer service. Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $30.00 to $38.00 / hour. All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen.
