Automotive Cooling System Design and Release Engineer , you will be a key member of our dynamic team focused on designing, developing, validating, and releasing advanced cooling components for electrified vehicles. These components include cooling module assemblies, transmission oil coolers, hose and tube assemblies, electric coolant heaters, valves, pumps, and fan system components, all essential for vehicle performance and efficiency. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing suppliers, and applying your technical expertise to ensure project success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the end-to-end design, development, validation, and release of cooling components for electrified vehicles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Create and maintain DVP&Rs and DFMEAs for cooling components. Drive program timing milestones through effective coordination. Apply APQP principles to support robust product launches. Use CAE tools for simulations and design optimizations. Design and visualize components using CATIA V5, Unigraphics NX, Vis Mockup, and TeamCenter. Implement Design for Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality. Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery. Coordinate with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams for seamless integration. What you'll need to be successful: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree is a plus. At least 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, focusing on cooling systems. Strong knowledge of cooling system components such as radiators, condensers, fans, pumps, valves, and heaters. Proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or Unigraphics NX. Experience with Vis Mockup and TeamCenter. Onsite presence 3-5 days a week. Driving a customer vehicle is required.
